The teen social skills group is designed to teach pro-social or “life skills”. These skills include skill streaming (social skills), anger management, and moral reasoning. The format used is based on over 20 years of empirical research and was identified by the Washington State Institute of Public Policy as 1 of only four programs with the best exiting research evidence.
This intensive 8-week program will focus on addressing the behavior of youth, reduce poor social behaviors, and offer alternative pro-social skills.
The goal of the program is to improve psychological skill competence, moral reasoning, and social problem-solving skills.
